Well, this weekened I became one of the counted on the Linux From Scratch Website.
I must say, that I did not learn very much. Using gentoo as my personal distribution of choice, I was already familiar with many of the concepts. And I’ve build chromiumos, android, and openwrt images both for work and play, so it wasn’t as challenging as I expected it to be.
However, I am grateful for portage because building the toolchain was so tedious in LFS. And especially when it comes to cross compiling, crossdev makes this much easier in Gentoo.
